At Little Larks™, your child’s safety is our highest priority. We are committed to creating a secure, nurturing environment for every family and licensed caregiver in our network. Here's how we protect your trust:
Every caregiver undergoes a rigorous background check, including identity verification, reference screening, and police clearance. Only those who pass all checks join us.
All affiliated caregivers are certified in child-focused CPR and First Aid to respond confidently and quickly in any emergency.
Our unique consent-based video check-in feature allows parents to request live glimpses of their child during care hours—no extra hardware needed.
Parents can track check-in/out times and see the caregiver’s real-time location when en route or providing care, ensuring full transparency.
Our philosophy prioritizes child engagement through play, learning, and emotional support—never screens.
All messaging and media shared on the platform are encrypted and stored securely to protect privacy.
We collect and monitor feedback to ensure quality and hold caregivers accountable.
Our system is built with clear emergency protocols and direct access to support when you need it.
At Little Larks™, we take the health and safety of every child seriously. Our daily operations are guided by strict hygiene standards and illness prevention practices to ensure that our Montessori-style home childcare environments remain clean, safe, and welcoming.
Each day begins and ends with thorough cleaning routines. High-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, tables, and toys are disinfected daily using child-safe, government-approved products. Learning materials and play items are sanitized regularly to maintain a germ-free environment. Bedding and linens are laundered on a weekly basis or more frequently when needed. Children and staff are required to wash their hands upon arrival, before and after meals, after using the bathroom, and following outdoor play. These routines are integrated into our Montessori philosophy of personal responsibility and care for the environment.
Upon arrival each morning, children undergo a brief visual wellness check by caregivers. This includes a gentle screening for signs of illness and a quick conversation with parents to ensure that children are feeling well and ready to engage. In the interest of all children, any child showing symptoms such as fever, diarrhea, vomiting, or any contagious condition is required to stay home. Children may return to care only after being symptom-free for at least 24 hours without the aid of medication. If a child becomes unwell during care hours, parents will be notified immediately and asked to arrange pick-up as soon as possible. Parents are also expected to inform the provider promptly if their child has been exposed to any contagious illness, so we can respond accordingly.
Our caregivers adhere to the same health standards as children and are expected to stay home when unwell. In rare cases where a caregiver is unavailable, Little Larks will provide a vetted and certified substitute who has been trained in our Montessori-style care methods and safety protocols. Continuity of care and safety remains our highest priority, even during staff changes.
